Chris Ukrainian in my garden has stripes, this year (like Green Zebra's stripes). I ate a ripe fruit, today, and it was very sweet (I think a lot of things are sweet around now; Early Girl F1 is, anyway).
Here's my Chris Ukrainian tomato, so far, this year. This one is one of the more vigorous ones that should be true-to-type, rather than the cross or offtype I grew last year. I'm pretty excited to see the result. It's growing vigorously in the ground (and it grew vigorously in the greenhouse; not all the seedlings were as vigorous as this one; in fact, this was far and away the most vigorous of the Chris Ukrainian tomatoes that were in its cell; I just thinned it, today).
Argh! :) My Chris Ukrainian plant has striped fruits, again, this year, notwithstanding it's a vigorous one and the one last year wasn't. I'm guessing the seed I got is F2 hybrid seed instead of either F1 or heirloom. I better re-label the title thread.
The plant is large.
I better contact Sand Hill Preservation Center to let them know.
