You need to subscribe to the forum or forums that interest you (you will automatically be subscribed to sub-forums of those). Here's how to subscribe:

Options->Subscribe via email. Select the options you desire.

You may also subscribe to individual threads (go to the thread; click on options, and at the top click on 'Subscribe via email').
