A kind woman from Kansas on Gardenweb gave me the seeds for this, a year or two ago. Here's my Esterina F1 tomato plant, this year, so far:

Re: Esterina F1 tomato

Here's my first Esterina F1 fruit, which I harvested, today. I think it should have ripened somewhat longer, but it started coloring on Saturday, and it was dark when I harvested it. I ate it, and was surprised. It was nothing like I had anticipated. It was refreshing, mildly sweet, not acidic tasting at all (kind of like Medovaya Kaplya with regard to acidity), and kind of like a plum in its taste qualities (not the tart qualities of a plum). I was expecting more of a super sweet/tart taste. It didn't have a strong tomato flavor, but more of a fruity flavor (although not a really super strong one).

Re: Esterina F1 tomato

I've been trying more of these, and they've intensified in sweetness and flavor (the same flavor) greatly. The taste is a lot like a sweet cherry, but sweeter, and not as tart.

I saved seeds—they're tomatillo-sized!

Here are the super sweet ones that I seeded:
